Irish Fair of Minnesota

Challenge

In 2014 I was given the opportunity to be the graphic design intern for the Irish Fair of Minnesota. In this time I was in charge of almost all of the design work including apparel, posters, tickets, credentials, and general layout design for newpapers and newsletters.

The challenge was finding a design that looked fresh and modern compared to the Irish Fair's past designs.

Solution

I looked at how the Irish Fair was designed for before while also looking at who the fair was meant for while also keeping in mind that the board members and managers were the ones I was truly designing for. This resulted in a slightly more modern look while trying to retain that "homey" look that the Irish Fair had done in the past.
