Create a 4 page feature story for a magazine of your choosing. The project must include either acquired or original images, and either original copy or from existing sources. It must also include a headline, byline, text, folios, captions, and a full typographic treatments to the copy. Included with this is a process PDF documenting the progress of the project from start to finish.
The project may also include a cover for the magazine, a page of contents, a mobile version of the spread, and additional spreads.
Since we could make the spread about any type of article we wanted, I chose to do an article about Formula 1, specifically the phenom Sebestian Vettel. So that I could put my English minor to use, I also decided to write my own body copy for this project to add more personal value.
Due to how big and popular Vettel is right now, finding images for the spread was very easy. The hardest part was figuring out how to do the layout in an appeasing way while also fitting in all of the body copy. I solved this through a typographic treatment and finding a layout that showcased both the pictures used and the copy writing.
